This classic mythological creature deserved nothing short of a fantastical illustration. And that’s exaclty what I delivered to Sassafras. The goal for this project was to create fairytale graphics for this majestic Paint Your Own Unicorn. I chose to go with a contemporary style and classic color palette.
For this design I wanted to emphasize the young and free feminine mood the unicorn represents. The script font is decorative enough to complement the illustration without being a distraction. I chose not to create a pattern, but instead create a vast landscape to inspire creativity and story telling for the kids painting this figure. I loved working on this package more than the rest of the collection. I know the Sassafras team loved the outcome!
